Making the grade! Adult learners collect their GCSE results from Learn Devon

Adult learners at Learn Devon were among those who endured the nerve-racking moment of collecting their GCSE results yesterday.

Learn Devon, Devon County Council’s adult education service, offers free GCSE English and maths qualifications, with courses that start in September and in January.

In Exmouth, Andrew Morgan achieved a grade 5 in his English GCSE. He said: “I’m delighted, it's has been a long year and I have had to work really hard and I'm now feeling really relieved. Thanks to Learn Devon, especially to the learning support team for their help.”

St James School in Exeter, part of the Ted Wragg Trust family, recently hosted the Devon Physical Disability Super Sports Event alongside Devon’s Physical Disability Team.

Twenty five students from across Devon attended the event and the school’s Year 9 Sports Leaders were on hand to help out on the day.

Local homebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter has made a generous donation of £1,500 to Okehampton Primary School to support the renovation of its playground facilities for more than 500 students.
