Digital marketing specialist Optix Solutions is relaunching its popular annual event which aims to bring attendees bang up to date with the latest thinking.

Digital Trends first took place in 2016 and was last held in February 2020 just prior to the pandemic. This time round it’s at a new venue, The Forge at Winslade Park on Wednesday March 15. The schedule includes three keynote speakers, interactive workshops and ask-the-expert clinics.

Optix Co-founder Alastair Banks said: “It’s a real challenge to keep up with changes within the digital landscape, as they seem to happen pretty much on a daily basis.

“Having a sound creative marketing strategy is more important than ever. With Digital Trends we’re giving delegates the tools to stay informed and stay ahead for the coming year - plus some quick wins and a few new tricks.”

Alastair started Optix Solutions in 1999 and is now in great demand as an expert speaker at events across Europe. He is one of the keynote speakers at Digital Trends alongside Crystal Carter, Head of SEO Communications at Wix. Crystal, who worked at Optix prior to joining Wix and has become a top global speaker on SEO, will be looking at AI and the Future of Search. Finally Creative Lead Ross Middleham and his colleague Emma Lawrence from the Met Office will provide insights into how the national meteorological service built TikTok into its marketing strategy.

In a new addition to the event, three Optix podcast regulars are taking part in a live podcast on stage. The panel of the ‘More Than Digital Marketing’ podcast will debate topical news from the world of marketing and answer questions from the audience.

The team behind Digital Trends has also implemented new sustainable aims with regards to merchandise, including UK-sourced clothing made from sustainable cotton, biodegradable lanyards and biodegradable pens.

The day includes a buffet lunch based on locally sourced ingredients with the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals from the region. Lunch is included in the ticket price of £70 with an early bird price of £60. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
