The Positive Birth Company wins Parenting Brand of the Year for second year running
The Positive Birth Company has been crowned Parenting Brand of the Year for the second year running in the prestigious Made for Mums Awards, dubbed by many in the parenting sector as the “baby brand oscars”.
The independent small business also celebrated two other wins; gold in the New Parent Product & Service category for their Postpartum Pack, and silver in the Pregnancy/Birth Product and Service category for their Pregnancy Pack.
Founder and CEO, Siobhan Miller, said of the win, “I’m so proud that The Positive Birth Company has been named Parenting Brand of the Year in the Made for Mums Awards. To win once is amazing, to win two years running is just incredible! PBC is a small, independent business but one that is committed to driving positive change for parents. To receive this recognition for doing good, especially when up against much larger organisations and corporations, feels great. I hope this win encourages other small businesses to realise their potential. Thank you to everyone who voted, we really appreciate your support.”
The Made for Mums Awards see more than 1000 products judged across 3,000 judging hours, with an army of family testers, editorial judges and industry experts casting their final votes. The Positive Birth Company’s ethos that “knowledge is power” was recognised by the judges, who also noted that the brand’s accessible and comprehensive courses, virtual birth partner app, book and social media resources have reached more than 30 million people around the world, helping them navigate their journey from conception through to the early years.
The brand’s fundamental values and ethos of inclusion and equality were also noted, with judges taking special recognition of The Positive Birth Company’s work to tackle discrepancies in pregnancy care and birth outcomes with workshops on racial disparities and pregnancy for LGBTQIA+ people. Judges commented that “The Positive Birth Company’s approach to making parenting, antenatal and postnatal education inclusive and accessible shone through in its product entries this year, impressing judges and testers with courses that were easy to use, informative and welcoming to all. Other initiatives further demonstrate the action they’re taking to empower their customers and community.”
