Exeter Philharmonic Choir will join forces with the Isca Ensemble and four talented young soloists for November’s ‘Music of the Baroque’ concert in Exeter Cathedral, including Handel’s outstandingly beautiful choral works Dixit Dominus and Zadok the Priest , Vivaldi's Gloria and Alessandro Marcello’s Oboe Concerto in D minor .

The concert promises to be a particularly memorable event for choir member Sheena McCready, pictured with her musician son, Fergus, who will take centre stage playing solo oboe.

Oktoberfest Exeter tickets selling fast

Tickets for the official Oktoberfest Exeter are selling fast.

This event will be hosted at the Guildhall on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st October 2023.

Tickets are available as standing, unreserved bench seating, standard tables for eight or 12 people and or our exclusive VIP tables; these include entry for up to eight people, table service from waiters/waitresses, incredible views of the stage and a free gift per person on the table.

Budleigh Music Festival announces change to line up

Organisers of this month’s Budleigh Music Festival have announced a last minute change to their line-up, after their ‘Rising Star’ performer had to pull out due to illness.

The festival’s Rising Star for 2023, pianist Ethan Loch, was due to perform at the festival on Monday 3 July, but withdrew from the event last week.

Now organisers have secured another young musician, Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, to perform in Ethan’s place.

Free lunchtime concerts spice up the Dartmoor town of Chagford every Friday this summer.
