A truly unmissable event, the MIDI TV Awards will celebrate not only the huge amount of musical talent in Devon, but also the resilience of the South West music scene, which not only survived the pandemic, but has bounced back, is now thriving and preparing for an even bigger and better musical 2024 than ever before.
“MIDI are delighted to be launching the very first MIDI TV Awards. After a few tough years for the Devon Music Scene, we are hoping to both showcase the sheer quantity of hugely talented musicians in the South West Music Scene and to celebrate the resilience of everyone in the industry. We have not only survived, but have bounced back and are thriving. What better way to celebrate this than bringing together key players and music lovers from across the South West, to kick-start 2024?”, says Nick Hall, Director of Music in Devon Initiative (MIDI).
“We want YOU to help us pick the nominees. Check out the forms on our website, and let us know which local legends deserve the spotlight. Get ready to shout out your favourites and make Devon's music scene shine!” continues Nick.
The Midi TV Awards are part of The Midi stages project in partnership with In Exeter supported by Youth Music’s trailblazer fund to help develop opportunities for under 25’s to earn and learn in the Music. Young people from Midi’s Soundtribe project will be involved in organising and performing at the event.
Tickets for the Awards Ceremony are £20 from Fatsoma, which include a free drink on arrival at Bomba. Doors are at 8.30pm for a 2am close.
