Local director named ‘most influential client’ at Top 100 Women in Construction Awards
Jane Cartwright, Sales Director for Persimmon Homes Cornwall and West Devon, has been named as the country’s ‘Most Influential Client’ in the 2022 National Federation of Builders’ Top 100 Influential Women in Construction awards.
Jane picked up the award – judged by an independent panel of industry experts – at an exclusive event on Thursday 27th October at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.
The NFB’s awards ceremony aims to shine a light on those that are working to support equality, diversity, inclusion and equity across the construction industry through their actions and support of others.
An experienced and highly-skilled sales negotiator with a successful track-record in management and construction, Jane was promoted to Sales Director for Cornwall and West Devon in December 2019, and has been instrumental in the region’s growth.
Jane currently manages a sales team of 14, overseeing the sale of around 280 new homes for local people a year, and enjoys a senior leadership role within the business at the region’s HQ in Plymouth.
Commenting on the award, Jane, said: “I’m incredibly proud to have won this highly-coveted industry award.
“There is absolutely nothing I enjoy more than encouraging women in the industry to believe in their potential and inspire women in the workplace to realise their hopes, dreams and aspirations.
“This recognition simply wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of my wonderful Persimmon team, who go above and beyond every day to create and sell fantastic homes to local people across Cornwall and West Devon.
“The last two years have been very challenging for businesses and individuals alike as we’ve all had come to terms with unique conditions, and with all manner of obstacles and restrictions to overcome.
“To have come through this period and to be part of Persimmon’s success story in Cornwall and West Devon is extremely rewarding, and I’m very honoured to have been recognised in this manner by the National Federation of Builders.”
Congratulating Jane on her award, Persimmon Homes’ Regional Chairman for Wales and the South West, Liam Scott, said: “This is richly-deserved.
“Jane brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role of sales director, and has been instrumental in Cornwall and West Devon’s strong performance as the region emerges from the pandemic.
“To be named as the country’s ‘Most Influential Client’ is an outstanding achievement, and everyone at Persimmon is delighted to see Jane’s leadership qualities being recognised in this way.”
Persimmon Cornwall and West Devon’s Managing Director, Adam Church, added: “Day in, day out, Jane is a source of inspiration to our team and has played a crucial role in the growth and development of the business in the region.
“The last two years have not been easy for any of us, but Jane has led from the front and supported her team as we’ve continued to deliver quality homes for local people in Cornwall and West Devon.
“The Persimmon family is incredibly proud of her achievements, and I couldn’t think of anyone who is more deserving of this award.”
