Fitness staff v customer Pad Boxing Circuit Challenge for Children in Need
Crediton Fitness staff are to undertake a staff vs customer Pad Boxing Circuit Challenge to support disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.
Lords Meadow Leisure Centre will be raising money for BBC Children in Need by becoming a group challenge hero to support the 2014 appeal. Fitness staff will be inviting customers to help raise money to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
The ‘Fight Night’ event takes place on Wednesday 19th November 6-7pm in the sports hall at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre. In a customer Vs staff challenge, there will be rounds of boxing orientated exercise stations including hooks, jabs, crosses and uppercuts, skipping, and more! The staff have just completed a ‘Pad Course’ delivered by UK champions Steve Pender and Christ Bereton of Chaos Muay Thai Fitness, and this event will showcase their new skills while raising money for a great cause.
Adults aged 16 years+ plus are invited to join the challenge - enjoy a 60 minute bout made up of rounds designed to unleash your inner fighter within the core principles of boxing.
Tickets for the event cost £2, available at reception at the leisure centre, where additional donations are being taken.
BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential. It relies on the energy and commitment of thousands of fundraising heroes and supporters across the UK, who donate their time and money to support the Appeal. Whether through cake sales, dance offs or treasure hunts, every penny of the money raised goes towards supporting projects across the UK.
Every single penny raised by BBC Children in Need goes directly to UK projects working with children and young people who may be affected by neglect, abuse or poverty, or those who have faced challenges in their lives such as serious illness, disabilities and psychological disorders.
