InExeter announces backing for nine city centre events and projects

InExeter has announced funding support for a series of events and projects. Six events have secured funding from the city’s business improvement district, each of which add vibrancy to Exeter’s cultural offering.

The, new for 2019, Exeter Festival is among the events to receive backing: the event, taking place over the weekend of 5-7 July, will see three days of films, music and entertainment in Northernhay Gardens. The picturesque estuary town of Topsham, just four miles from Exeter, will be celebrating the end of winter with Spring Forward Saturdayon the 30th March. Record year for tourism in South Devon and bumper start to 2019

Latest figures from Visit South Devon reveal that 2018 was an exceptional year for tourism with visitors to www.visitsouthdevon.co.uk up more than 5% on 2017.
