Just because the summer is over, doesn’t mean that the fun has to end... To make sure the adventures keep on rolling, East Devon District Council’s Countryside team, together with 13 partner organisations, has been busy putting together a packed programme of 100 exciting events that will be taking place across the whole of East Devon from October 2016 through to March 2017.
There’s something for everyone with a wide range of fun filled outdoor activities, suitable for people of all ages. Choose from traditional favourites such as bird box making, wildlife gardening and wreathing...
East Devon District Council countryside team is inviting holiday makers and local families to come and discover the rock pools of East Devon.
The team is holding four special events in August and September so that you can explore the mysterious world of rock pools with the Countryside Rangers and learn where to look and what to look for.
The rock pool events are being held on:
Friday 5 August, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Exmouth beach, to the left of the lifeboat station, Queens Drive
Tuesday 16 August, 10am to 12noon, Ladram Bay beach (right hand side of
A week of activities celebrating the beautiful heathland landscape of East Devon. Sunday 24 July to Saturday 30 July 2016.
Whether you enjoy wildlife, history or getting active in the outdoors there is something for everyone!
The week kicks off with the family festival day on Sunday 24 July at Woodbury Castle.

Explore East Devon with Countryside's Education Rangers over half term
The Countryside team is offering a fun-filled programme of events for children and their families this half term - from splashing in the stream at Honiton Bottom, or digging for worms in Exmouth.
The events aim to inspire children and adults to get out and explore their natural environment through fun games and activities.
All of the events listed cost just £4 per child with a discount offered to East Devon District Council tenants. Places must be booked in advance.
